Bellevue School District

Board of Directors-District #4

Together, We Can.”

“I believe intentional involvement & engagement with students about their educational experience, helps center student voice & should help guide decisions that are being made within our education system.”

“I am a long time Bellevue School District mother and community advocate who is passionate about serving students and families.

My background is in public health and I graduated with a Master’s in Public Health from Eastern Washington University. I currently work as an Access to Care FIT (Family Initiated Treatment) Manager for the Washington State Health Care Authority, managing a legislative bill that allows an additional pathway for youth to access behavioral health services. My dedication to see change within our Bellevue School system, has allowed me incredible volunteer opportunities to work with youth, and I plan to continue to help transform our district vision and goals into reality through service.”

Monica’s priorities as a Bellevue School District Board Director include:

“After 30 years serving King County, I realized the most important quality is to have the interests of the people come first. Monica Webster puts students first above all others, which is why she will make an excellent school board director for the Bellevue School District.”

– Larry Gossett, Former King County Councilman

“From a parent perspective, I find comfort in knowing a fellow parent is on the board. This lets me know all decisions are based on what’s best for the students. I support Monica one hundred percent.”

– Meagan Hopkins, Bellevue School District Parent

“Among the many things I admire about Monica is how much she listens to and is connected with our students. She is an adapt listener and has worked very hard to build ways to tune into student voices, their needs, their ideas (students are loaded with great ideas!) and their perspectives. She genuinely loves kids, and especially teenagers. This is only one of many reasons she will make an excellent school board member. I am so excited that she is running!”

– Sally Fouché, Bellevue, WA
